TikTok Removed From App Store, Google Play . Tiktok Banned India .
TikTok has been faraway from the App Store and Google Play in India. The app was banned on Monday night on an order by the Ministry of data and Technology, which also banned 58 other popular apps from China, stating that they were a threat to India’s security and society. Stating that these apps violated the privacy of users and stored their data outside India, the govt gave notice to Apple and Google to get rid of all 59 apps and asked ISPs and telecom companies to assist enforce the ban also. the primary app on the list, TikTok, has already been faraway from the stores and cannot be downloaded, although the app remains working fine for the instant. this suggests that if you’ve got TikTok installed on your phone, you’ll keep using it, for now, but if you remove it for any reason, you’ll not be ready to catch on back.

People conversant in the app stores say that this points to the corporate having restricted the app from India, instead of Google and Apple removing it, which is why the opposite apps haven’t been affected yet, though TikTok’s statement didn’t address this.
In its statement, the govt said, “invoking it’s [sic] power under section 69A of the knowledge Technology Act read with the relevant provisions of the knowledge Technology (Procedure and Safeguards for Blocking of Access of data by Public) Rules 2009 and insight of the emergent nature of threats have decided to dam 59 apps since insight of data available they’re engaged in activities which are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defense of India, the security of state and public order.”
At now, many of the opposite apps on the list are still available for download. Share it, the second app on the list, remains available, as are other popular apps like CamScanner, Shein, and Clash of Kings. other apps from the list have also been removed by now though, like the Helo app, although another similar app, Likee, remains available. If you were a daily user of a number of the more popular apps on the list, then Gadgets 360 has found some alternatives you’ll use.
Although the official statement focuses on security and defense, it’s clear that the choice of those 59 apps has got to do with the tensions between India and China. Although TikTok has been banned a few times within the recent past, it’s quickly come. during this case however, it’d take longer for the banned apps to return, if at all.
